Increasing the Minimum Wage

Geri Huser Geri Huser knows the value of hard work, and has always fought for working families. She worked to increase the minimum wage by $2.10 an hour and provided additional child care funding so working parents can afford day care for their children.

 

Expanding Job Training

Huser fought to expand job training programs through our community colleges so we can attract new businesses to our area and create good-paying jobs.

 

Investing in Education

As a mother whose children have gone through our public schools, Geri has been a champion of Iowa's public education. She has consistently worked to ensure Iowa invests in our public schools, community colleges, and universities. That's why she is supported by the Iowa State Teachers Association.

 

Retaining Quality Teachers

Geri fought to raise teacher pay so that Iowa's schools can continue to attract and retain the best teachers in America.

 

Continuing Our Commitment to Seniors

Geri worked to provide pension, social security, and property tax relief for seniors. And she fought to ensure the funding of the Senior Living Trust Fund.

 

Ensuring Quality Health Care

Huser worked to expand health care coverage to 17,000 additional Iowans. And she voted to improve funding for programs that provide health care for Iowa's children and the elderly.

 

Helping Our Local Economy

Huser helped pass the expansion of the Small Business Development program and the Main Street Iowa program to help local businesses grow and create jobs.

 

Responsible Budgeting

Huser worked to maintain Iowa's balanced budget, while making vital investments in education, health care, and economic development'

The Iowa Secretary of State has made the official voter registration available online in a pdf format. You may print this online form and fill it out by hand, please be sure to sign the form before you send it to your county auditor.

If you would like a hard copy of any of the forms above, please call the Secretary of State's Office at 515-281-8849 or 888-SOS-VOTE (888-767-8683).

The Secretary of State has also made the Application for an Absentee Ballot available on the web please print this off and fill it out and mail it according to the instructions on the form. To locate your county auditor's office click here.
